If You Liked These Memoirs You’ll Love…

By Zibby Owens

It’s hard knowing which debut authors you’ll fall in love with. We’re here to help.

When I read Brittany Means’s book on submission, it quickly became one of my all-time favorites — and I read a LOT of memoirs. Brittany’s personal story told in the most lyrical, original, poignant way moved me so deeply that at times I had to cover my eyes while reading. As Brittany says, she didn’t have that luxury growing up homeless, in foster care, in the hands of her Pentecostal grandparents, and after withstanding horrific abuse.

And yet, she didn’t give up. Not only did she get through everything life threw at her from every direction, but she also found a way to thrive. And look! Now she’s a brilliant memoirist.

This book is fabulous. You must read it. If you liked any of the books below, you’ll love HELL IF WE DON’T CHANGE OUR WAYS.
