The USA Today Bestsellers List Is Back and Partnering with Indie Sellers like Holland Saltsman of The Novel Neighbor!
After announcing a hiatus at the end of last year, the USA Today best-selling Booklist is back and better than ever! In order to help foster deeper connections between readers and their communities, the revamped list will also include a spotlight on a local, independent bookstore. USA Today has partnered with the American Booksellers Association, a national not-for-profit organization that supports independent bookstores, Bookshop.org, and The Novel Neighbor, an independent bookstore in St. Louis, Missouri.
"Independent bookstores are special because they aren't just places where people come to find their next favorite book; they are places where people come to find and build community,” said Holland Saltsman, owner of The Novel Neighbor. “USA Today has always helped tell the story of what's happening all across the country. Now, we’re writing the next chapter together, amplifying the role that independent bookstores play within their communities and building stronger connections between all of us, wherever we live.”
The USA Today best-selling Booklist is published every Wednesday and includes 150 top-selling titles across genres based on sales data from booksellers across the country. The list is not editorialized in any way and analyzes sales information from chains, independent bookstores, mass merchandisers, and online retailers. In addition to the bookstore spotlight, book lovers can expect author interviews and a “Dear Abby” column based on mystery boxes from The Novel Neighbor.
