This School Year, Build an All-Star Lunchbox for Your Kids Without the Fuss

Right in time for back-to-school madness, Marnie Hanel and Jen Stevenson—co-authors of The Picnic and The Campout Cookbook—have teamed up on a new illustrated book entitled Lunchbox: So Easy, So Delicious, So Much Fun to Eat.

With three kids under age 7, Marnie Hanel discovered that lunch is the meal where they're most likely to try new foods, eat a surprisingly well-rounded menu, and signal their appetite. As a former kindergarten teacher, Jen Stevenson knows that lunch makes a big difference when it comes to sustaining focus and energy during the school day.

Together, they share 100 full-color lunchboxes, weekly planners with shopping lists, and inspiration for everyday lunch boxes as well as special occasions, that help take the struggle out of meal prep and introduce a positive relationship with food instead.

Below, we've included a handful of illustrated guides and recipes to get you started. Hanel and Stevenson's new book is available for purchase here.
