Christmas in October? It’s Never Too Early for Holiday Books!

By Zibby Owens

I’m not ready. No. Not yet. I haven’t even finalized my kids’ after-school activity schedule yet. But suddenly, all the Christmas books are hitting the shelves. Oddly, I don’t see any Hanukkah books launching yet. Perhaps that’s because we’re still in the high holiday season, not the other holiday season.

In a fit of novel-writing procrastination and an attempt to explore my latest podcast sponsor—Uncommon Goods, go to www.uncommongoods.com/books for 15% off!—I ordered most of my family's gifts already.

My little guy opened up a box recently and said, confused, “Why did you get [my older brother] a personalized tape measure?”

I yelped, “Wait! Hide it! It’s for Hanukkah!”

“Already?”  He just shook his head.

So maybe I’m kind of ready. Anyway, here are some Christmas-themed books coming out in October. Stay tuned for the rest.
